Softball Tournament

Walt: write a recount with focus on expensive words

One freezing morning. We had a softball tournament at  9:30. Everyone was cold. It felt like antarctica. The softball tournament was held at Dunkirk .

First we warmed up. Next we got out the equipment and started to throw ball around. Everyone was eye-opened to the final against Ruapotaka. I was pitching everyone was telling me to pitch fast so Ruapotaka does not make any home runs. So I started pitching fast everyone was cheering for the finals. The softball tournament was fundamental to us.

Next the umpire said to us that it is our turn to go bat now. As we sat down into our batting line up Mrs barry told me to bat forth so that I can try and bring two home runs. So I did two home runs. We won the   the softball tournament for 2015 everyone was cheering for us. We were Champions. Everyone was celebrating.

After that we scurried like a cheetah to the school van.

“Everyone, came to me and said well done Wesley that was a great game. Then we were on the way back to school. Everyone was exhausted from the softball game. As we arrived to school I shared the news with my class and my teacher. My was so proud of myself and my teammates. Ruapotaka did not have any home runs. Mrs barry was so proud of the softball team.

Finally the softball tournament was over, everyone was exhausted from the softball tournament.

The next day I felt the pain in my shoulder from pitching.

If I wanted to be remembered I would like to be a professional drummer because I really like playing drums and other instruments. I would like to drum for a famous artist like Kranium No body has to know. This Sunday I am playing drums for my church. Even though I Played before I am still nervous to play in front of my church.

Making a Chain

Walt: 1. write a recount.

Yesterday my class and I we making the longest chain out of paper. We had to work in groups of two, so I worked with Koliata.

First we had to estimate the length and the width. We used an A5 paper. Then we cut the paper and stick it together and join it. “Koliata, told me to use the length to make it longer.” But I said not if we use the length then it will be come short but if we use the width it will be longer.

Thereafter we placed our paper chain next to the 1 meter ruler and we measured it to make the comparison. Koliata and I made 169 cm chain out a A5 paper. Some of the paper fell off from the chain because we didn’t stick it probably.

Finally we finished, I think our chain was one of the shortest chains. After we estimate the measurement of the chain we had to estimate how long the chain is. Then we compared our chain with the other students. The longest chain was Viliami’s and Howard.

I enjoyed making a chain out of a A5 paper. I think i made it before in the juniors, but I can’t remember. I would like to make another paper chain again.

The longest chain was Viliami’s and Howard’s chain. Their chain was 383 cm long. The shortest chain was Ben’s and Dion’s, their chain was 86 cm long. Koliata and I made a 169 cm long chain out of a A5 paper.

Paris attack

WHen I heard that Paris got bombed. I was shocked because I would like to go to Paris 

but this happened. Now I don't want to go to Paris anymore. 

Reflections, Translation and Rotation

Walt: Revise transformation.

Today we revised reflections, translation and rotation. I played this transformation activity online.

I made upto level 4, then my teacher ask if anyone is confused?. So I went down to the mat with Koliata and IFa. We learned coordinates I understand it really well. Next time I would like to play more activity’s like this.
