I got 161 christmas light to decorate the house that they give you. To get the christmas light you had to answer the maths questions correctly. As you can see you had to click and drag the mouse to  put the christmas light on the house. The house below is the house that I decorated with the 161 christmas light.

How to make a milo

When it is a cold day it’s good to have a cup of warm, delicious milo. Milo is good for energy because it has protein in it because it uses lots of milk.

To make a cup of milo it needs a cup, spoon, milo, kettle, water and maybe some sugar if it needs to be sweeter.

Before  turning the kettle on make sure there is some water in it because if it doesn’t have water  it might burn. While the kettle is boiling  get the cup and add two teaspoons of milo depending how tasty it needs to be. Next add the boiling water to the cup of milo up to halfway then stir it for 20 seconds until it dissolves. Fill the cup up to the top with milk then taste it to check if it needs more sugar.

After drinking a warm delicious cup of milo it feels like there’s a lot more energy for sports.

Billy Bug 2

In this game I have to feed the bug until it is full. I got all ten questions right. Some questions were easy but other questions were hard because I did not know the answer . This week I learned the axis x co -ordinates is horizontal and the y co -ordinates is vertical. I finished the game in 4 minutes and 1 second. Next time I would like to beat my score.

Duffy Books

Today we had a Duffy Book assembly. Niva Retimanu was our role model. Niva Retimanu told us that she could not read when she was young . But now Niva Retimanu have 500 books at her house. Niva Retimanu said  “it’s cool to read  it’s cool to achieve”. She is Samoan who she grew up in Invercargill . She told us a little bit about herself. This is my two Duffy books I got today.

Tall Blacks vs USA

Last night there was a big game between  Tall Black and USA. It was a close game in the first quarter. But at halftime USA was leading by 57- 35. It was disappointing that USA was winning.  Anyway I am  very proud of the Tall Blacks because they tried very hard for this. Hard luck Tall blacks I hope you win next time.

3D Wire Art

Every Tuesday we have art. We made 3D wired art. We made it with cardboard and cable wires. As you can see I made a person doing hurdles. We had to pick a sport from the Commonwealth Games. We have been doing it for 5 weeks.

The year 7&8 sometime does 4 laps because they are going to sport camp. I am going to sport camp as well .

Walt:making nets.

This week we did nets. We made an isosceles triangle. It was challenging for me because my isosceles triangle was too small.  Then I made another one and it turned out like this. I really like my isosceles triangle. I need more practice. Next I would like  to learn more about nets.

Robin Williams

Walt: write a paragraph

Robin Williams is an actor. He was in all sorts of movies. He was in my niece's favourite movie Happy feet part 1 and part 2. He  was the voice of lovelace in Happy feet.  He  came to NZ in 1999 for a Maori  welcome.  He was born July 21 1951.  But  he died at the age of   63.

He  is from  Chicago, Illinois, United States. He  is entertaining because he  is funny and he makes me laugh.

Scale Drawing

I learned to use scale to enlarge my drawing. I used a scale of 1cm to represent 3cm. This means that my drawing was 3 times bigger. The task was difficult because I could not draw it probably   I need more practice work on this topic. Next I would like to learn more about scale drawing.

Samuel was a pessimist, he said that no one would buy the mushrooms because it is yuck.

Solution:

Caleb and Samuel  was selling the mushroom in the front of their house. After that some people came and brought some  mushrooms.

Solution 2:

Then a lot of people was coming one by one to buy some mushrooms.

Solution 3:

Rosie call caleb’s mum and asked her if she can talk to him. Rosie said that she heard about his mushrooms stall and she wanted him to supply.

In this game you have to figure out where to put the fraction. I got it right because I put the fraction on the right number line. Some of the sums were challenging for me. Next time I would like to learn more about decimal.

In this game you have to name the shapes. It gives you the diagram but you have to name it . It gives you 4 answers but only one is correct. I finished it in 14 seconds. It was easy for me because I already know this activity. But some of the shapes were hard because I haven’t seen them before. Next time I would like to learn more about geometry.

Walt: Research Bats.

Sport Retreat

The last three days we  went to Saint Kentigern college . It was fun. We played  a lot  of games. I made a lot of friends with other kids from other schools. I got a friend from Saint Kentigern college his name is Jimmy. He is a good basketball shooter. There were lots of games to play. The game that we  played is Basketball, Volleyball, dodge ball, N ball and soccer. We had Visitors as well there were the blues players. It was Simon Hickey, Joe Edwards and lastly Albert Nikoro.

Our coach Quan told us how to controlling the ball and how to dribble the ball and passing the ball. We play games to warm up. Then we went straight in to it. It was fun.

Every Wednesday we have soccer. Our coach is Quan he is Spanish. As you can see he's got eyes on the ball.  Next time I want to play a game of soccer.

In this game you have to match each cause with the correct effect. This is why this game is called cause and effect. I got 36 question correct but only 6 wrong. There is a timer. If the timer finishes then the game is over. As you can see I only got 7 seconds left before I took the screenshot. Next time I would like to learn more on grammar.

Addtion Pyramid

This game is an addition game . My highest score was 1000. I finished the game and I opened the mummy’s Tomb. The mummy look scary.Then the game finished then it started all over again. I forgot to take the screenshot so I just finished the first sum and then I got off the game. This game was easy to me because I know my addition straight away.

Dental presentation

Today, we learnt new things about teeth. Our speaker was Mrs Wallbridge. I  learnt that a wisdom tooth is at the back of our molars. Smoking and drinking at the same time is bad for your teeth. Your teeth will turn black and grey.  When I went to my cousins house I saw my uncle smoking and drinking. I offered advice to my uncle to stop drinking and smoking at the same time. When I went home yesterday I went to the fridge and I saw a fizzy drink in the fridge it was not opened. I grabbed it and I went in the sitting room and

“I said to my parents don’t buy any more fizzy drinks because it affects your teeth”.Then my parents said

“Okay we are not buying any more fizzy drinks”.

Maths

Today we were learning decimals. Finally I learnt how to solve problems in decimal fractions. We worked in groups of three. Some examples our teacher gave us to do some were hard some were easy.
