Thank you letter to Chris Wood

Dear Chris Wood

First of all I want to say  thank you to providing us buns, tuna, carrots, lettuce, bars, yogurt and tomato.

It was a great pleasure us receiving the
buns, tuna, carrots, lettuce, bars, yogurt and tomato.
My favourite part was when I was making my sandwich. I put all of the ingredients in my sandwich but not the tomato because I don’t like it. My sandwich I made was fantastic.

After this I am going to ask mum to buy all the ingredients from Pak' n Save and I am going to make my own sandwiches.

We really enjoyed making our sandwich.

Yours sincerely

A New Zealand Kingfisher

A kingfisher is a New Zealand bird the maori name for the kingfisher is kotare. The Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) also known as Eurasian Kingfisher, or River Kingfisher, is a small kingfisher with seven subspecies recognized within its wide distribution across Eurasia and North Africa. It is resident in much of its range, but migrates from areas where rivers freeze in winter.

The colour of the kingfisher is blue and yellow and white  This sparrow-sized bird has the typical short-tailed, large-headed kingfisher profile; it has blue upper parts, orange underparts and a long bill.

The kingfisher eat The Belted Kingfisher is a medium-sized bird with a large, crested head, and a long bill. It has a tiny white spot by each eye, at the base of the bill. Belted kingfishers feed on fish for their survival.

According to the Sibley Guide to Bird Life & Behavior, human population growth, habitat change, and shooting are what endanger worldwide kingfisher populations the most. Specifically, species which nest in the sides of stream banks are left without habitat when streams are altered.

Earthquakes and a Tsunami

When a tsunami hits the land it can make terrible damage to the land and the people. it can sweep the house’s and people and the cars.A tsunami can not be stopped.Because we do not know how the tsunami starts it is so difficult for them to warn the people . Cities and towns can be destroyed by the power from the water .

When an earthquake happens under the water, the shock waves make the water move in big and strong waves. The waves spread out from the epicentre and travel over long distances. Near the coast the waves slow down and from  into  one huge wave. it is a tsunami.
